Getting There

Domestic Flights

There are flights to Lombok from Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta, and Surabaya. There are two direct flights from Jakarta daily, one on Garuda Indonesia and the other on Lion Air. For further information, please check these airlines' websites:

http://www.lionair.co.id

Other domestic airlines that serve Lombok are Merpati, Trigana, and Indonesia Air.

Please note that flights are sometimes designated as destined to Mataram, Ampenan, or Lombok. However, they all arrive at the same airport, located at Ampenan, near Mataram, the largest city on Lombok.

International Flights

Silk Air (subsidiary of Singapore Airlines) flies direct to Lombok three times a week:

Taxis

There are a number of taxi companies that operate in Lombok, but as with other islands, the Blue Bird group is the safest and most reliable.

From the airport, however, there are set price taxis, which are available from the stand right outside the airport exit. As of Sept. 2008, the price from the airport to Senggigi was IDR 50,000, and it's about a 25 minute ride.

For cheaper, metered taxis, one can just walk outside the airport gate (not that far) and hail one. It should be around IDR 37,000.

From Lembar, the ferry harbor in the south, a taxi will cost around IDR 100,000 to Senggigi.

Meter fall on all cabs is IDR 4,500.
